The Ultimate 2025 Women’s Fitness Gift List: Must-Have Picks for all Budgets!
Let us help you with some inspiration and specific fitness gift suggestions for the fitness enthusiasts on your holiday gift list. Fitness is the gift that keeps on giving – when you support someone you love in taking care of themselves you both receive a well spring of health, vitality and ability that are the essential ingredients for good times and fun. The fitness gift items are listed from lowest price to highest. If you need more ideas, last year’s list is still good.
($7) No tangle hair tie and hair clips for the strays
Anyone who’s had long hair knows how hot it makes you during exercise, and how annoying it can be when it’s in your face. The curly hair ties do a better job of keeping the ponytail in place, and last a long time.
Back in the 90’s all protein shakes were lumpy, gross, and would make you choke when you hit a ball of powder. In 2000 a genius names Steve Sorensen invented the little blender balls that breaks up the powder clumps.
($11) Minimal or Micro-gloves
Weight lifting gloves are nice if you don’t want calluses, but the biggest downside is that they’re hot. Micro-gloves are a nice compromise because they pad the part that’s most likely to get pinched without insulating the palm (the biggest heat sink on your hand).
($14 and up) Meal prep containers
Having food portioned out, and premeditated makes eating better so much easier. One of the biggest problems are the lids – sooner or later the lids, or the whole containers go missing and you don’t have anywhere to put the fruits of your meal prep efforts.
You can get glass ones, single compartment or multi-compartment containers.
($15) Band anchor and handles
Most people have bands, but they usually don’t have a good place to anchor them or handles. Good anchors and handles and the clips that go with them make them more secure, versatile and comfortable. If they don’t have bands either, I strongly recommend the loop resistance bands instead of the tubes, as the tubes are more fragile.
($18) Gripper (grip trainer) and finger opener
Most people, and women in particular, have some hand or wrist pain. Strengthening the hands helps. Strong hands are also really useful – opening jars, exercising, gardening, holding onto your purse, etc. Furthermore having stronger hands correlates (strongly) with living longer, and vice versa. Grip exercises (hand opening and hand closing) are one of the few exercises you can legitimately do well while sitting down watching TV.
Ab wheels are good tools, but the handles usually hurt and the narrow wheels are kind of scary. Those problems have been solved with broad, angled handles and a wide, curved wheel, making a good idea into a great one.
We have spent years scouring the internet for cloth bands (because much more comfortable than the all rubber ones) for hip work. After kissing many frogs we found a prince. These provide the most resistance, comfort and durability by far.
When I first saw this, I thought Nick (the inventor) was reaching, but I was 100% wrong. This is one of the most versatile and useful pieces of equipment we have. The main thing is that it allows you to apply substantial resistance directly to some part of your body in a comfortable manner – you can put it behind your knee to work the muscles that stabilize and straighten your knee (very important if you have knee issues) and it (1) provides a real workout, and (2) doesn’t pinch and roll around.
For the ankles, knees, thighs, hips and core it is great. The NT Loop is also the most comfortable method to assist women working up to full push ups.
($135 and up) Adjustable dumbbells
The turn and adjust dumbbells (where you don’t have to unscrew the weights) save space and are very convenient. When they first came out decades ago, they were very expensive, but through the power of free-market competition they’ve gotten better while the price has dropped over 60%.
When you are shopping for your loves ones this holiday season we hope this list of fitness gift ideas helps you out! Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukah, and Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2026!
